Reporting directly to the CEO, the Operations Manager (Biodiversity and Water) is a key member of the Leadership Team. This a challenging and rewarding opportunity to oversee a small high performing operational team encompassing the Biodiversity and Water Programs, including planning, implementation, delivery and reporting on projects related to the Water and Biodiversity portfolios including the Tamar Estuary and Esk Rivers (TEER) Program. A focus on community engagement and stakeholder management is a key priority for the role including fostering effective relationships with funding bodies.

The successful candidate will have a background in natural resource management and demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in implementing, natural resource management principles and practices. Exceptional skills in leading and motivating teams in the pursuit of common goals is also required, together with strong communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills. Experience in project management, WHS, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and adaptive management is essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications would be an advantage and a sound understanding of Water and Biodiversity Management is highly desirable.
