The Community Landscape Officer has a key role in facilitating community participation to support landscape management

If you are passionate about supporting regional and remote communities to protect, manage and improve natural resources across some of the most beautiful and iconic arid landscapes in South Australia, then we have the job for you at the SA Arid Lands Landscape Board. With community as the focus, you will ensure local input is central to the boards decision making and regional delivery through supporting the boards district Landscape Groups. No two days are the same and this role provides many new opportunities and experiences.

If you're a Community Landscape Officer, you are motivated, have a sense of adventure, and relish the opportunity to be a valued team member. You are resourceful and focussed on delivering community-based outcomes and shared responsibility for our natural resources under the Landscape Act SA 2019. You will be joining a team of like-minded people, all with a passion and commitment for working alongside community to overcome the challenges and embrace landscape management opportunities unique to this region. This role requires regular travel into the region, including occasional weekend work, and remote overnight absences.

We walk together with First Nations people, landholders, a range of industries, sectors and the broader community to care for land, water and nature and learn together on sustaining our environment and economies.

You will bring experience and proven capability in one or more disciplines across Community development, NRM extension, sustainable agriculture, or similar. If this sounds like a great fit, then we'd love to hear from you!
