City of Newcastle is looking for an experienced Senior Ecologist to join their newly created Environment and Sustainability Service Unit to provide specialist ecological advice for CN's environmental assets capital renewal program, on-ground projects, strategic and land use planning matters, and our Natural Connection community engagement program.

You will be key in providing your specialist advice to enhance and further develop CN's environmental policies, strategies, plans, and programs including the Urban Forest Action Plan, Blue Green Grid Action Plan, Water Sensitive Cities Action Plan, and vegetation management plans.

As the Senior Ecologist you will provide specialist ecological advice, research, plans, and designs to guide the implementation and monitoring of on-ground environmental rehabilitation and restoration projects.

Remuneration:  $120,061.83 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.

The above rates are reflective of the Salary System Pay Rates in the CN 2023 Enterprise Agreement.
