CSIRO’s Environment Business Unit brings together capabilities in marine, atmospheric, water and terrestrial environment disciplines, as well as significant social and economic research, to align and support the nation in creating a better and more sustainable future.
Based at our CSIRO Black Mountain site, you will join the Adaptive Ecosystem Management team working across a range of Australian ecosystems, with specialisation in temperate eucalypt woodlands and fragmented agricultural landscapes, as well as an emphasis on national scale projects to inform environmental accounting and nature repair.
As an Experimental Scientist in ecosystem and biodiversity science you will work on a variety of projects accountable for leading or assisting in fieldwork, workshops, experimental logistics and field and glasshouse-based data management along with community engagement. If you’re an early-career scientist looking to apply your well-developed organisational, people and ecological skills into a varied role, this will be a great role for you to collaborate with a dynamic team of research scientists and further develop your competencies! Your duties may include:
Salary: *AU$93k - AU$119k plus up to 15.4% superannuation.
Tenure: Indefinite / Full-time
* This pay range is inclusive of both CSOF4 and CSOF5 pay levels and applications are invited across two capability levels. The successful candidate will be appointed at a level that is commensurate with their qualifications, skills and relevant experience - see the position description for further details.
