Contribute to co-management of national parks by resolving complex policy matters and managing priority reconciliation initiatives .

Co-management in South Australia is a partnership between the state government and First Nations groups to manage our national parks that combines traditional knowledge with contemporary park management and plays an important role in advancing reconciliation.

The Principal Policy Officer, Co-management will lead the resolution of complex co-management issues and planning through the development of strategies and policies, and the alignment of park co-management arrangements with South Australia's commitment to Closing the Gap. The Principal Policy Officer, Co-management will provide robust, high level policy advice and be responsible for the implementation of projects that further government objectives, including legislative reform.

The role will have a focus on maintaining and enhancing relationships and improving the statewide approach to co-management program and individual co-management agreements.
