About the opportunity

As a result of continued growth, we are looking for bush regenerators to join our team.

As an ELA bush regenerator, you will be involved in a wide variety of projects and environments across Western Sydney and the Illawarra region. The types of projects we undertake include rehabilitation of urban and infrastructure sites, and conservation areas such as council reserves.

We are open to all levels of skills and experience. The roles are casual, with progression to a permanent role for those interested in this.

About you

This role will allow you to combine your passion for bush regeneration with your enthusiasm to learn new skills to create great environmental outcomes. You will work on projects that include weed control, revegetation and erosion control techniques as well as increasing your flora and fauna ID skills.

To join our team, you will have:

  • A passion for bush regeneration
  • Current drivers’ licence
  • Some previous experience working as a Bush Regenerator, or a Certificate II or III Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent (desirable)

And you need to be:

  • Physically fit for the inherent requirements of the role
  • Able to travel to sites located in Western Sydney and the Illawarra
  • A positive contributor to our team

Desirable:

  • White Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Chemical users accreditation (Chemcert or smart train)
  • Experience using herbicide and herbicide equipment such as backpack, boom and high-volume sprayers
  • Demonstrated experience using powered equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters and augers
  • Experience and/or qualifications using bobcats, positracks, chippers, slashers and other relevant agricultural machinery
  • Manual drivers’ licence
