Mackay Regional Council is seeking a Leading Hand Natural Area to join the Parks and Environment team on a permanent full-time basis.
About this opportunity:
Join our team as the Leading Hand Natural Areas, where you'll play a pivotal role in ecological restoration, weed control, and revegetation projects. Under regular guidance, you'll ensure the delivery of top-quality natural area management services, meeting our established service standards.
In this role, you'll supervise a dedicated team, providing expert advice on natural area management. You'll oversee team operations, refine processes, and guarantee tasks are completed on schedule in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Your responsibilities will also include fostering a safe and healthy work environment, prioritising workplace health, industrial hygiene, and psychological wellbeing. Additionally, you'll plan, schedule, and manage minor proj ects, along with performing other duties as directed by your supervisor.
