Ecological Service Professionals (ESP) is a niche aquatic ecology and environmental science consultancy based in Wynnum, Brisbane. We exist to protect and enhance aquatic environments.

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to support our growing team and our strong work pipeline. This is a key leadership role within the organisation with substantial scope to make the role your own. Key management responsibilities include supporting our great people and performance culture, leading business management and administration of our head office, and contributing to business development and growth. We are seeking a Practice Manager to be an essential presence in the office, who would work primarily in our office to support the team in their movements and manage our office space. This is a permanent, full-time position.

About us:

ESP was founded in 2014 and has grown to be a supplier of choice for clients across a range of industry sectors seeking to understand the aquatic environment and their specific challenges. Our clients including Local and State Government, renewable infrastructure, water infrastructure, legal (expert witness), urban and tourism development, and mining and gas sectors. We work in marine, estuarine and freshwater environments predominantly throughout Queensland, with several projects based interstate and throughout the South Pacific. Our diverse portfolio of projects include long-term monitoring programs, specialist approvals support for small and large-scale projects, ecological training, partnerships with community groups to understand the natural environment, to aquatic habitat restoration.

Mandatory criteria:

  • Australian Citizenship or a right to work in Australia,.
  • You hold a current class C driver's licence.
  • Tertiary education in business administration or similar.
  • 5+ years' experience in practice or office management.
  • Proficient with business management systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn our other business systems (e.g. Project Management and HR systems) if not already familiar.
