The OPS3 Ranger based in Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park works in one of South Australia's most iconic locations to conserve native wildlife and plants, welcome and educate visitors and contribute to park maintenance and presentation. Under the direction of the Senior Ranger, the OPS3 Ranger works in a team on daily park management activities and helps provide park visitors with a rewarding and safe experience. The OPS3 ranger will play a lead role in coordinating school groups, and leading compliance and visitor management activities.

This Ranger role also collaborates with conservation partners, volunteers, First Nation groups and other key stakeholders to deliver projects in Yorke Peninsula parks that contribute to the objectives of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972, Marine Parks Act 2007, park management plans and other complimentary legislation or action plans. This is achieved through involvement in nature conservation, pest plant and animal control programs and assisting with wildlife surveys, research and monitoring.

The role supports the protection of cultural heritage by working as instructed by the Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park Co-management Board, through local partnerships and working with key stakeholders. The OPS3 Ranger manages two OPS2 Rangers and participates in emergency operations and fire management activities, including operating and utilising fire equipment.
