We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Open Space contract on the Bushland Crew with the City of Bayside. You will part of a close-knit and supportive team, managing both remnant and revegetated environments through weeding, spraying, pruning, planting, watering and all aspects of Natural Resource Management.

This is a full time position based out of our depot in Moorabbin

Skills and Qualifications required:

• Relevant trade or tertiary qualification ie. Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management (or working towards).
• Ability to manage coastal, heath or woodland communities.
• Plant identification skills including knowledge of weeds and their control.
• Experience in management of indigenous vegetation.
• Ability to operate and maintain horticultural equipment and tools.
• Chainsaw experience desirable.
• Ability to coordinate volunteers, Friends Groups and community activities (an advantage).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and appreciation of OH&S.
• Manual Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to liaise with clients and customers and provide quality service and information to the public.
