We aspire for each employee to become industry experts and encourage staff to leverage 'being an insider' and access the company network to become a thought-leader.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our team in Adelaide. This role suits a specialist in the flooding, stormwater management, modelling or Water Sensitive Urban Design areas to support our Floodplains team across Australia. The role requires:

To set you up for success, we would like to see demonstrated proficiencies in the following skills:

  • Commercial acumen and understanding of how consultancies operate (ideally, you've worked in a consultancy or very closely with one).
  • Relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced technical skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling (MIKE & TUFLOW is preferred, RAFTS and URBS will also be highly regarded).
  • Project management.
  • Mentoring and training (you don't have to demonstrate this in a formal capacity, but we would like to see that you have at some point, worked with junior staff members to develop their capabilities on the job).

Water Technology offers many benefits for staff, here is a glimpse of some:

  • We have a flexible and inclusive approach to work where you can choose the option to adopt a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Access to a diverse community of environmental consultants: opportunities for mentoring, coaching and professional development on day one of your onboarding.
  • We are employee-owned, there is an opportunity to buy shares in the company (after 12 months).
  • There is an annual bonus across the business (dependent on the performance of the organisation).
  • Study and professional development support.
  • Represent Water Technology at various technical industry events across Australia.
