Approx $85k pro rata + super

  • 0.5FTE-1FTE opportunity.
  • Fixed term up to 12 months with opportunity for extension.
  • Approximately $85,000 pro rata (plus super).

Rangelands NRM is seeking a Project Officer to deliver projects within a collaborative team environment. The role delivers a scope of work against a work plan directed and supported by the Program Manager.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Project coordination.
  • People and community outreach.
  • Cross-cultural experience across First Nations and/or the pastoral industries.
  • Balancing a range of values and perspectives that partners bring to projects.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and be self-motivated.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Developed computer skills, especially Microsoft suite.
  • Current manual C Class licence.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, Environment, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in Project delivery (desired).

The Project Officer will work with the Rangelands NRM Program Manager, engaging with Tradition Custodians, land managers, scientists, Government and other stakeholders.

The role will involve:

  • Community outreach.
  • Event logistics - Organise and coordinate workshops.
  • Develop agreements with key stakeholders.
  • Reporting to investors.
  • Administrative tasks including contract and purchase order drafting.
  • Regional travel outside of Broome.
