Care For Hedland is an independent environmental interest group, established in 2003, pursuing a shared vision of environmental awareness and sustainability improvements within our local community. Our programs and activities range from Marine and Coastal Biodiversity including Turtle Monitoring, Recycling and Waste Prevention, Waste Management, Gardening and Sustainable Living, and Environmental Education, along with a variety of initiatives and events.

To coordinate the various activities of the Association, we are looking for a team player with strong administration background, a deep love and care for the environment, and a lot of initiative!

You will be responsible for the coordination of the Association’s governance, fundraising, volunteers and manage the internal and external communication for the Association. You will also be the face and go to point on all day to day matters for Care For Hedland. Occasionally there will be some intra and interstate travel required.

Remuneration: A remuneration package is offered based on the SACS WA Award level 4 (up to $77,301) plus statutory superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave, and a living allowance as per the Award and professional development and training opportunities. There is also a one-bedroom unit at heavily subsidised rent available with the role.

What kind of experience are we seeking?

Ideally you will have a strong administrative background and gained experience in working with volunteers, fundraising, grant writing and possess a good ability to communicate to a variety of sponsors and stakeholders. Additional experience in coordinating and managing environmental projects would be a much appreciated add on.
