This brand new role will be a game changing opportunity to tackle the complex issue of managing goats across the SA Rangelands.

As the successful candidate you will be experienced in working with multiple stakeholders to find common ground and achieve change, consensus and collaboration. You will work with industry, the NRM sector and government partners at a state and regional level to address the issue of unmanaged rangelands goats while exploring novel and alternative solutions to historical challenges. You will be committed to the biosecurity and environmental protection priorities of multiple landscape boards as well as support of landholders to reduce grazing pressure and optimise removal of goats to support circular and new economies where appropriate to reduce wastage of a valuable protein. Working alongside a committee of professional partners and stakeholders across the policy, project management, engagement and change management skill sets, you will bring the capability to inspire new and divergent thinking, and contemporary and adaptive management approaches to getting the job done. This will be underpinned by a passion for environmental sustainability alongside economic, social and cultural outcomes.
