At Corangamite Shire Council we are looking for a collaborative leader who is passionate about environmental sustainability, with the ability to lead innovation, manage services and ensure regulatory compliance.

Position

In this permanent part time role, the focus is to manage and diversify Council's waste services, coordinate Council's environmental and sustainability projects, and manage circular economy and waste contracts. We are looking for a collaborative team player who can lead in the research and production of innovative and effective policies, while ensuring regulatory compliance across our landfill and waste operations.

What you can bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering, or a similar relevant qualification and/or
  • Experience in environmental sustainability, landfill and waste management or landfill design and engineering.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • National police check and working with childrens check, or ability to obtain.
  • Construction induction card or ability to obtain.
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of relevant legislation and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and establishing work programs is highly desirable.
