Our private zoo includes animals such as owls, parrots, possums, dingoes, fruit bats, crocodiles, snakes, amphibians, invertebrates, aquatics and much more! We would love to know what your favourite native animal is and why?

We are looking for reliable staff to work some weekdays, school holidays and most weekends on a casual basis as a sub-contractor for a position based in Warburton.

Pay rates based on Events and Entertainment award.

Essential:

• Reliable vehicle (staff vehicle provided for most jobs) and can drive manual.
• Reliable worker, punctual, hardworking and passionate about wildlife.
• Be presentable, clean neat and tidy, in the public eye presentation is key!
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• MUST have experience in native animal care not necessarily formal experience.
• Confidence to work with wildlife in front of large crowds.
• Rabies Vaccination, this can be obtained after employment
• WWCC
• ABN

Preferred:

• Accreditations and experience in animal care and/or teaching
• Experience in public speaking
• Based in Eastern Melbourne or Yarra Valley
• Flexibility to work at short notice in a casual position 

Must be able to cope with:

• Lots of travel and distances
• Large crowd situations with animal welfare as a priority.

You will be required to have a police check, working with children check and wildlife assistants licence (if successful).

This is an exciting opportunity which involves giving all kinds of wildlife presentations at schools, childcare centres, birthdays, as well as rural fairs/shows and other large events.

Interstate travel may be required.

Animal husbandry, property, basic vehicle maintenance and equipment maintenance are part of the position (Keep it clean).
