About the Role

The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board is looking for a talented and passionate expert to deliver the Board’s Biodiversity and Sustainable Agriculture programs; regional scale projects; and facilitate existing and developing carbon and biodiversity market opportunities. 

This is a growth area for the Board, and the role will actively contribute to expanding and initiating new projects to help reduce emissions and build climate resilience into the region’s biodiversity and agriculture. 

The role will also provide advice to assist the Board with practical measures to reduce carbon emissions associated with its operations.

Success in this role will require a keen understanding of emissions reduction and carbon sequestration, strong project management skills, the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships, and a collaborative approach.

It's a role that offers abundant autonomy, variety, and challenge, while providing opportunity for the successful candidates to flex their full range of skills. The role can be based at any of the Landscape Board's regional offices, all of which are modern, well-equipped workplace that embrace flexible conditions, including work from home arrangements.

About You

You are committed to environmental sustainability and love working with primary producers and other stakeholders with interests in land management, and want to make an impact on biodiversity, sustainable agriculture and carbon and biodiversity offset programs.

You will bring stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with technical expertise and are keen to join an employer who supports your learning and growth.

About the Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board

The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board works with community, industry, and other government agencies to sustainably manage our region's natural resources, with an emphasis on protection and restoration of our soil, water management, biodiversity, and pest plant and animal control.

The Eyre Peninsula region covers approximately 80,000 square kilometres and includes part of the upper Spencer Gulf, the city of Whyalla, across the southern boundaries of the Gawler Ranges, past Ceduna to the edge of the Nullarbor Plain and south to the fishing hub of Port Lincoln. The Eyre Peninsula supports a population of just under 60,000 people and is the traditional lands of First Nations peoples. 

Other key functions include development of water allocation plans for prescribed water resources, and operating as the relevant authority for a range of water, land protection and animal and plant control activities.
