The Botanic Gardens of Sydney (BGoS) team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Horticulturist Nursery to develop and maintain the horticultural functions for BGGS including undertaking regular inspections, maintenance of associated plant equipment and records, and consultation in relation to developments affecting living collections, natural areas or landscape development within the estates, and the supervision and training of staff.
About You
The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan is looking for an enthusiastic horticulturist with a passion for plant conservation – particularly Australian native flora. In this role, you will effectively manage a small team within the nursery, managing extensive horticultural potted collections, within a high use public garden - while prioritising the workload of the team to implement quality horticultural practices.
The Senior Horticulturist (Nursery) coordinates the nursery and propagation programs including activities such as plant propagation, horticultural maintenance, inventory management, research, and the allocation of resources.
