We're a large team of highly skilled and passionate terrestrial and aquatic ecologists. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Leading and overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of ecology projects and coordination of multidisciplinary ecology teams (flora, fauna and aquatic).
  • Cultivating strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored biodiversity solutions.
  • Preparing comprehensive proposals and bids for prospective projects.
  • Navigating regulatory frameworks and obtaining necessary environmental approvals for project implementation e.g. EPBC referrals, FFG permits and planning permits to remove native vegetation.
  • Staying abreast of native vegetation regulations and land-use policies at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Leadership - guiding our teams in implementation of Victoria's native vegetation regulations and other environmental legislation related to ecology.
  • Contributing to the development of comprehensive environmental management plans, strategies and reporting.
  • Opportunities to participate in ecology fieldwork (if desired).

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in ecology, botany, biodiversity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in ecology, biodiversity planning, environmental planning, or related roles from within a consulting environment.
  • Strong understanding of native vegetation regulations, environmental planning and approvals.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and client relationships.
