The Opportunity- The Role

As a Supervisor of Environmental & Bushland Rehabilitation you will be leading a field-based team undertaking bushland regeneration/environmental works.

Your duties will include:

  • Leading a crew of 4-6 field staff in the delivery of field services
  • Supervision of and mentoring in a wide variety of weed control techniques
  • Communicating with both Clients and Management on project delivery
  • General project management, task management and works delivery
  • Operating and maintaining a range of handheld power tools
  • Contributing to a safe work environment and working as part of a team
  • Understanding and implementing operating procedures
  • Completing administrative tasks and data collection using mobility platforms

You will have:

  • Driver's licence and own vehicle required
  • Construction Induction (White Card) and First Aid Level 2 are required
  • Chemcert, ACUP or equivalent is desirable
  • Relevant tertiary education or relevant experience is desirable
  • Previous environmental conservation experience
  • Knowledge of both indigenous and exotic vegetation within Greater Melbourne
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in a team environment
  • Sound interpersonal skills and the capability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • A genuine passion for the environment
  • physically fit and capable of working outdoors
