About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

As Project Officer you will support state-wide delivery of Visitor Infrastructure as part of the Asset & Infrastructure Branch. This includes contributing to the development, delivery and review of projects and ensuring consistency in design and construction materials across the state.

About you

As a Project Officer you are adept at preparing and maintaining project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contributing to the achievement of project outcomes. You will also possess strong critical thinking and communication skills which allow you to identify risks, make good decisions, liaise with key stakeholders, coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
  • Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
