The Role

We have an exciting part time role (3 days a week job share) within our Catchment Asset Management Team. This role will see you working both from our 990 La Trobe Street Head office and working from home, with the flexibility to choose your work days.

As the Senior Asset Practitioner Land you will be responsible for providing expertise in the enhancement and maintenance of Melbourne Water's Land Assets, including Vegetation management, Tree hazard management, and Grass Cutting programs. This role will assist in implementing the vision for our land services including enhancing biodiversity and improving open access and livability on Melbourne Water's open spaces in the decade that matters.

Your Tertiary qualification in Ecology/Biological Sciences/Natural Resource Management along with your experience and understanding in Land Management will see you success within this part time role.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability in developing and delivering land management options and interventions.
  • Experience in developing effective networks in a diverse and complex multiagency delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all stakeholders and to prepare and deliver information to an audience in a professional manner.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills which adds value to business and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and improvement plans that align with broader business strategic direction to drive customer and commercial value.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify a need for change and to respond to change management positively.

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a Tertiary qualification in Ecology/Biological Sciences/Natural Resource Management, engineering.
