Environmental Projects Leading Hand

Position overview

East Gippsland Shire Council is currently seeking to hire an Environmental Projects Leading Hand in a full time, ongoing basis, based in Kalimna West, to lead a small team of Environmental Support Officers to undertaking environmental and infrastructure maintenance work duties on Council owned and managed land, and where applicable on other public and private land

Key Selection Criteria:

• Relevant qualifications and minimum of 3 years' experience in field-based infrastructure maintenance and environmental activities.
• Flexibility in work hours.
• Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) accreditation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently as well as provide leadership and supervision of a small team.
• Demonstrated ability to improve the customer experience through high quality work standards and attention to detail.
• A current, valid Victorian driver's license.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a current Police Check and pre-employment medical check, and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Applicants for this position must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
