The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) is seeking a media and communications star who is excited about the plight to protect native flora and fauna in NSW.

The BCT delivers and manages private land conservation in NSW - the private land equivalent of national parks. We work with landholders across the state who want to protect the native species on their land and provide them with financial and technical support.

This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.

About You

Our communications goals are simple - to encourage new landholders to participate in our programs, to support our existing landholders, to build brand awareness and encourage new partners, and to promote the public awareness of the importance of biodiversity conservation in NSW.

But delivering these goals is the challenge! That's why we need you - a skilled communicator who can translate technical information to a lay audience. Working in our media and communications team, you will support multiple platforms, including traditional media, social media, our website, newsletters and publications, factsheets, event and engagement collateral and more. You will work well with all staff across the organisation to achieve a range of high quality, effective communications products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong, collaborative communicator to take meaningful actions towards the permanent protection and effective management of our unique but declining NSW native species.

• Demonstrated knowledge or interest in biodiversity conservation issues in Australia.

Applicants with additional skills in Adobe Creative Suite, videography and photography, graphic design, web editing, etc. will be highly regarded.
