About Us

At Acacia Environmental Management, we employ people who have a strong passion and respect for the natural environment and its conservation. We provide sensitive weed control and revegetation services that aim to enhance indigenous vegetation in the Greater Melbourne region.

Due to staff changes and considerable growth in our business we are seeking to appoint a Depot Assistant on a full time basis to coordinate the day-to-day activities of our depot and assist with the smooth running of the business.

About the role

Located in St Andrews (Melbourne) and reporting to the Depot Manager you will be responsible for:

• Servicing, Maintenance and cleaning of Petrol Powered Tools, equipment and staff PPE.
• Maintenance and basic mechanical repairs for vehicles and equipment.
• Maintenance of hot water weed control machines (training will be provided).
• Checking and stocking vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Maintaining and improving the organisation and overall running of the shed/depot.
• Recording and monitoring vehicle / equipment maintenance and systems.
• Using computer-based system, e.g. Safety Champion for OHS purposes.
• Organising the servicing of motor vehicles as they are due.
• Working with the Depot Manager to purchase tools and equipment.

Experience and qualifications

You will bring with you:

• 2+ years' experience working in a similar role.
• Experience with mechanics / mechanical repair or a demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
