  • Exciting Team Leader Ranger role working with a proficient and friendly group of rangers, managing a diverse range of exciting projects within a collaborative environment.
  • Temporary full time opportunity for up to four years.
  • Role located at the area regional office within Lane Cove National Park.
  • Salary ranges from $113,343 up to $124,901 + super + leave loading.

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified person to temporarily fill a Team Leader Ranger role in North Western Sydney National Parks, working on various projects within the iconic Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Lane Cove National Park, Berowra Valley National Park, Marramarra National Park and Muogamurra Nature Reserve, to name a few.

About the Role

We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about conservation, land management and customer focused. This integral role is responsible for managing the day to day operational works within the North Western Sydney National Parks area to ensure the delivery of quality integrated frontline services through leadership of the team and the fostering a culture of professionalism and high performance. The role also facilitates the management of natural, historic and Aboriginal heritage on and off reserve.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Strong leadership to manage a diverse team whilst also building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and identifying opportunities and partnerships to increase community participation and engagement.
  • Expert project planning skills and be a natural at juggling and meeting competing priorities.

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience in the implementation of current relevant environmental legislation, with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant environmental legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing diverse, dispersed and/or multi-disciplinary teams in a changing environment.
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
