About the Role

As a Casual Bushland Team Member, you will be part of a small, committed and friendly team responsible for delivering high-quality environmental services centred around weed control and revegetation.

You would be required to work outdoors completing physically demanding manual work in various conditions and environments. It is essential that you are a good team player who can work within the framework of our quality, safety and environmental management systems.

Skills and Experience

  • Industry experience in Natural Resource Management or related fields and/or a Diploma/Degree in Conservation and Land Management/Environmental Science.
  • A demonstrated ability to carry out a range of tasks including herbicide application using Quiksprays and knapsacks, woody weed removal, hand weeding, brush cutting, revegetation works and GPS mapping.
  • A motivated person with a track record of hard work and reliability.
  • Sound flora identification skills (both indigenous and introduced).
  • Excellent communication skills and a capacity to work in a small team environment.
  • An understanding of NRM workplace safety and environmental responsibilities, hazards and controls.
  • Current Victorian Manual Drivers Licence.

Desirable Certifications

  • Current First Aid including CPR.
  • ACUP or Agvet Chemical Users Certificate.
  • Chainsaw Operators Certificate.

Other Requirements

  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 in line with current Government mandate.
