Where will you work?

The Western Local Land Services region is the largest in NSW, covering 314,500 km² or 40 per cent of the state. The Western region encompasses one of the most diverse rangeland areas in Australia, comprised of arid and semi-arid land, used mostly for grazing (sheep, cattle, goats), dryland agriculture, irrigated agriculture (cotton, horticulture, viticulture), mining, tourism and nature conservation.

You will have the chance to work hand in hand with landowners to ensure land management is both understood and followed.

What you need to do this role:

  • Previous experience and/or qualifications in Land Management and/or Natural Resource Management
  • Previous experience engaging and forming strong relationships with landholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management skills, including reporting, budgeting, planning and monitoring are an advantage
  • Ability to work from one of the locations specified as field-based work on site is required
