Two-year fixed term, part time (3-4 days per week), remuneration based on Gardening & Landscaping Services Award 2010.

MLHAC is seeking a dedicated bush regeneration supervisor for a part time role (3-4 days a week).

We are an Aboriginal owned and operated community organisation which manages the 2,000 hectare Minyumai Indigenous Protected Area near Woodburn in northern NSW. This is a new role which will be responsible for day to day supervision of our expanding workforce to complete a diverse and growing range of bush regeneration and habitat management fee for service work across the region. It will have a strong staff mentoring and equipment maintenance component to the role.

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum 4 years bush regeneration or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years bush regeneration work crew supervision
  • Certificate III Conservation and Land Management or higher / equivalent
  • Experience managing and maintaining vehicles and small engine equipment
  • Manual drivers licence
  • Reasonable level of physical fitness
  • Working With Children card (evidence is to be provided to the Admin Staff).

Other desirable criteria:

  • Experience mentoring and training staff.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people and communities
  • Trade accredited certificates
