A rare opportunity has emerged for two motivated, self-starters to be Environmental Water Coordinators at the Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH).

Two fixed term Environmental Water Coordinator positions are available – one is for three years the other for one year.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing and reporting the use of environmental Water Holdings for several waterways and/or wetland systems in Victoria, and you will be the nominated lead for other VEWH activities that apply across the state.

You will liaise with staff at our program partner organisations and with broader stakeholders to ensure coordinated and effective delivery of environmental water.

The VEWH is an independent statutory body responsible for managing Victoria’s environmental water entitlements, in cooperation with partners, to improve the environmental health of rivers, wetlands and floodplains.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Desirable: Appropriate tertiary degree in science, engineering or natural resource management or a related field, or an equivalent accreditation or working/industry experience.

These 2 positions are fixed term roles (1 year and 3 years)

Preferred candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening, including a Declaration and Consent form and a National Police Check.
