The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has an opportunity for an experienced and dedicated environmental health officer to lead education, compliance and enforcement activities within the Kosciuszko National Park on food safety and certain public health and environmental law responsibilities of NPWS.
About the role
Within Kosciuszko National Park, the NPWS is responsible for administering food safety and certain public health and environmental legislation either directly or in partnership with the NSW Food Authority and NSW Health. In this role, you will lead the education, compliance and enforcement activities of the NPWS in carrying out those responsibilities and maintaining its relationships with those key agencies. The role undertakes many of the duties that applicants might be familiar with from environment and public health activities in local government, but in the unique context of the NSW alpine resorts and the broader Park.
