An exciting opportunity is available to join the Hume City Council's Parks Department. You will be responsible for undertaking quality works to ensure repair, maintenance, improvement and renewal of Parks and Reserve infrastructure assets. Additionally, you will be providing support to the wider Parks department across the whole Municipality.

You will also be a team player who has a natural ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people. You will possess the knowledge and skills required to effectively maintain park landscape assets and infrastructure with particular focus on the use of relevant hand tools.

Key skills:

  • Certificate III in Landscape or other relevant qualification and commensurate on the job training
  • Relevant experience with Parks maintenance principles and the operating of equipment relevant to Parks and Reserve management
  • The ability to apply a range of Skills and Hand Tools for various Park Maintenance tasks
  • Current Driver's Licence with MR Truck drivers endorsement
  • Skid steer loader, forklift and other allied machinery licences will be highly regarded
