This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact for communities on Victoria’s natural environment matters through advice on native vegetation regulations and environmental matters relevant.

The recent Victorian Government economic stimulus package has created a strong need for staff skilled in environmental advice to support the assessment of priority development proposals. As a Natural Environment Programs Officer, you will be part of a team that works closely with planners and local government staff. 

You will utilise your native vegetation and biodiversity expertise, ensuring that impacts to natural values are minimised and that projects comply with all planning processes and legislative requirements. 

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification related to natural resource management and or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in natural resource assessment processes, preferably focused on biodiversity and native vegetation management and related legislation.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 November 2022. This position is located at the Barwon South West region but can be negotiable.
