Company Background and Role Purpose

Tranen Revegetation Systems has been one of the industry leaders since 2002 in the management of native revegetation throughout the Southwest. We currently have openings for casual Environmental Technicians to join our Southwest team in Busselton.

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, and working closely with the Project Supervisors, you will help us achieve our core goal of delivering high quality bushland rehabilitation outcomes on a variety of projects (coastal, wetland, woodland) throughout the Southwest.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Seedling planting;
  • Direct seeding;
  • Erosion control measures (matting, netting, brushing, etc.);
  • Seedling protection measures;
  • Seed collection and processing;
  • Weed control (chemical and manual); and
  • Other related general duties.

Education and Qualifications

  • Completed a Certificate III or IV in Conservation and Land Management or related qualification.

Experience and Requirements (Desired But Not Essential)

  • Current manual drivers license;
  • Basic knowledge of Southwest native species;
  • Prior revegetation and seed collection experience;
  • Current Pesticide Technician License; and
  • Experience operating and maintaining parks and gardens mechanical hand tools (i.e. brushcutters, chainsaws, augers, etc.).

The works undertaken by Tranen require staff to be physically fit, as field works are varied and physically demanding. Tranen have a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy in the workplace and undertake random testing.

Applicants must be available five days per week with typical work hours 7am - 3pm and have their own reliable transport.
