About the Role

  • You will be part of a team of ecologists, GIS specialists, planners, engineers & environmental scientists working on projects throughout Queensland
  • Mix of outdoor & indoor activities
  • Your role with include designing ecological surveys, conducting desktop assessments & field investigations, interpreting field data & preparing technical reports

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A genuine love for working outdoors, a positive can-do attitude & enjoy working in a team environment
  • Degree level qualifications in Ecology, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or related field
  • Over five years related experience conducting terrestrial flora & fauna surveys 
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be willing to travel for field work
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Common sense & ability to think on your feet
  • A dedication to working safely & seeking smarter ways of doing things
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite of programs & capturing spatial data.
  • Australian Citizenship & driver's licence

Desirable

  • Previous experience working  in construction, consulting, government, Defence, industry or mining
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth & Queensland environmental legislation and approvals
  • C class manual driver's licence
  • White card, First Aid, 4WD certificates
