Territory Natural Resource Management (TNRM) is seeking a new Board Director.
TNRM is the regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) body for the Northern Territory. We are a not-for-profit community sector organisation responsible for planning, coordinating and facilitating a strategic approach to natural resource management in the Territory.
We work in partnership with landholders, Indigenous groups, community groups, pastoralists, non-government organisations, governments and businesses to achieve good NRM outcomes.
We are custodians of the NT Natural Resource Management Plan. This community plan, sets the strategic direction for natural resource management in the Territory and identifies the necessary actions to achieve it. Through the NT Natural Resource Management Plan, we:
Role and Composition of the Board
The Board of Territory Natural Resource Management (TNRM) provides strategic direction, governance oversight and accountability for the organisation.
The Board consists of an independent Chair and up to eight Directors. Directors are appointed to the Board for a term of two years, and can service up to three consecutive terms.
Selection to the Board is based on the skills and knowledge required to support best practice governance and business for the achievement of natural resource management outcomes.

Selection Criteria
We encourage applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas to apply:
Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.
The term of appointment will be two years, with up to three consecutive terms.
TNRM Board Directors must be based in the Northern Territory.
