We offer diverse and geographically spread ecological based projects and we have an immediate need for a suitably qualified mid-senior Botanist to join our ecology team. • Be a self-starter and motivated to work both in the field and office
• Be a team player willing to work closely with our senior staff to deliver technically excellent outcomes for our clients

• Be dedicated to the ongoing growth of your knowledge through exposure to technically challenging projects.

The roles provide a mixture of office and field-based work on projects located throughout Western Australia. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Between 3-5 years’ experience in botany in Western Australia
• Have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science, natural resource management, botany or ecology
• Experience in undertaking all levels of botanical surveys, preferably with Pilbara experience
• Sound understanding of the State and Federal technical guidelines, regulatory frameworks and legislation for flora and vegetation
• Proficiency in managing, processing and interpreting large data sets
• Proficiency in using electronic software to capture field data
• Proficiency in data management and report writing skills
• A strong desire to learn from senior staff and work within a team environment
• Hold a valid Western Australia manual Class C driver’s licence.

Additional skills and experience that are highly desirable, but not essential, for this role are:

• 4WD and recovery training
• Senior first aid training (current)
• ArcGIS or QGIS experience
• Statistical knowledge using Primer and/or R studio.
