Gangalidda and Garawa Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (GGNTAC) represents the Gangalidda and Garawa People who hold native title rights interests in land and sea country in the Southern Gulf of Carpentaria, stretching east from the Northern Territory border to the Leichhardt River near Burketown.
Gangalidda & Garawa Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (GGNTAC) provides native title and related services to its members and to the Gangalidda & Garawa native title holders. GGNTAC was established in 2010 to act as agent Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC). Since that time, the Corporation has established a number of wholly owned subsidiaries and businesses.
Initially based in the Cairns Office, we have an exciting new opportunity to join our organisation and support GGNTAC in its economic growth and development.
Under direction from the Gangalidda and Garawa Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (GGNTAC) Board of Directors you will be responsible for the initiating the development of identified and planned commercial opportunities, to prioritise the profitability and stability of current opportunities and identify and implement future opportunities.
You will work in collaboration with GGNTAC’s Board of Directors to ensure strategic, economic development and business plans are implemented for economically sustainable business development, operation of Aboriginal owned businesses and employment opportunities for local indigenous people in the Southern Gulf of Carpentaria region.
This position will report to the GGNTAC Chairperson and will ensure that GGNTAC builds on its capability to work toward sustainable self-government and capitalisation on commercial opportunities across a range of industries including Resources, Tourism, Land Management and Service Delivery.
