This position is an exciting opportunity for an early career, highly motivated research scientist with skills in biosecurity, pest management and entomology or plant pathology to join the Managing Invasive Species and Diseases Program within the Health and Biosecurity Business Unit of CSIRO.

This will involve conducting empirical research to support market access in collaboration with industry, regulators and scientists from diverse disciplines.
Research will include development of phytosanitary systems approaches for market access, the exploitation of new and emerging digital and sensor technologies such as optical scanners and automated surveillance devices, and working closely with data analysts and modellers to develop the next generation of risk assessment tools for regulators and industry.
