The Role

Spotless is the lead contractor providing Estate Maintenance and Operation Services (EMOS) for the Department of Defence in Queensland and Southern New South Wales.  As lead contractor within the region we deliver a suite of services to support Defence capability. 

We are seeking an experienced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to be part of the Land Management team. This position is responsible for preparing GIS Data and producing PDF and online maps for the support of multiple service lines within the EMOS. The position has the responsibility for the management and operation of the contract GIS, and the management of data integrity in the delivery of spatial products and services.

Reporting to the Land Manager and based in Brisbane, this full-time role will deliver a range of services including, but not limited to:

  • Assisting in the coordination of field data collection activities;
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date contract GIS data;
  • Contributing to planning of work and process improvement;
  • Supporting the maintenance of Defence GIS Land Asset information systems and producing reports as directed;
  • Providing support, GIS training and assistance to staff as required;

Skills and Experience

  • Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory);
  • Demonstrated ability to create maps in ArcGIS Desktop;
  • Demonstrated ability to publish data into ESRI ArcGIS Online (AGOL);
  • Demonstrated ability to create Web Maps/Web Apps;
  • Experience managing ArcCollector in-field activities;
  • Experience in Esri Hub development/management (AGOL);
  • Understanding and basic knowledge of AutoCAD software and AutoCAD data as a spatial data format ;
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence;
