Job Description:

The purpose of this job position is to support the growth of the Converte business from a strong technical base across a range of disciplines including chemistry, biology, soil science, crop science, horticulture and agronomy.  The Ag graduate would have a wide-ranging role in supporting all facets of the business, including existing operations, production and client management.  An important part of the job would be field visits, liaison with customers, providing agronomy advice and product sales.  As a new employee you will receive training in all aspects of the business from production to sales and customer support.


The primary job duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Build robust technical grounding and support for the current and future Converte products;
  • Form part of a team providing business support and technical advice / client care on technical matters;
  • Assist the Converte Production Manager is expanding the production operations in accordance with strict protocols and standards;
  • Assist with the development, marketing and sales of products;
  • Represent the company at seminars, field days and corporate events, including running technical seminars on biological farming and soil health.
  • Visit farms in NSW predominantly to look after current customers and provide advice and product support.


The minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job are as follows:

  • A degree in biology, agriculture, soil science or related areas;
  • Specialized knowledge in soil fertility / soil health;
  • Relevant work experience in the agricultural sector of at least 4 years
  • Experience of farming at a personal level would be a key advantage;
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership qualities;
  • A self starter and motivated individual with a passion for sustainability;
  • Ability to work across multiple aspects of the business in factory and on farm;
  • Must be a team player;
  • Social media skills would be an advantage.

Working conditions

This job requires a motivated individual willing to travel extensively and comfortable in a factory working environment.   This position could be located at facility in Griffith NSW and much of the work would be servicing clients in the NSW Riverina.  A shared vehicle will be provided for field visits.  

Physical requirements

This job would require regular travelling, including a lot of driving over long distances.  In addition, work in the factory will involve physical activities and learning to operate machinery.


The company will provide on the job training and also access to training courses, seminars and conferences as required during the course of your employment.


Based on level of experience, full time position, opportunities to participate in share ownership in the company.
