  • Total Earth Care is currently recruiting for Site Supervisor for the Bush Regeneration Division

Total Earth Care is currently recruiting for a Site Supervisor whose role will include all aspects of on-ground bush regeneration. The candidate will be expected to travel within the entire Western Sydney Region.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management, direction and supervision of their crew and the ongoing management of their regeneration sites under their control.

The successful candidate will be required to understand and apply best practice bush regeneration techniques, display good interpersonal and communication skills and have a clear understanding of contractual obligations and project scope.

They will also be required to keep all site records, write periodic reports and monitor contract obligations and deliverables.  The candidate will also be required to liaise with clients and manage sub-contractors and suppliers.

Importantly the candidate will be required to: use equipment for large scale planting projects, install irrigations systems, use a chainsaw, spray apparatus, drive a 4wd and work in remote areas.

Skills and Experience

  • The minimum of 2-years’ experience as a TEAM LEADER in the Bush Regen or related industries
  • Excellent Bush Regeneration skills
  • High focus on accuracy and quality
  • Problem resolution skills and adaptability
  • Deadline and detail orientated
  • Effective leadership and people management skills
  • Industry knowledge (incl. WH&S, First Aid, EEO)

Qualification/Licences

Essential:

  • Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent
  • Chemical handlers certificate (AQF3)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • WH&S white card
  • Excellent plant knowledge
  • Current drivers licence
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word

Desirable

  • Degree/Diploma in environmental related discipline
  • Chainsaw training and experience

Bush Regeneration is a 100% physical and demanding job. This role requires: Drive up to 1.5hrs/day; Walk for more than 1km, up to 5kms; Lift and carry at least 5kg; Use a pruning saw to cut; Kneel and get up unassisted; Be able to wear PPE (Gloves, long pants, long sleeved shirt, safety glasses and hat).
