The Nipapanha Community Aboriginal Corporation (NCAC) are seeking experienced applicants to fill the role of Land Management Coordinator.

This position supports the Indigenous Rangers in natural and cultural resource management activities undertaken on the Nantawarrina Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) situated in the Nepabunna Community traditional homelands of the Adnyamathanha people.

An Indigenous Protected Area is an area of land or sea that is voluntarily dedicated by its Traditional Owners to be managed for biodiversity and cultural resource conservation. IPAs make a significant contribution to Australian biodiversity conservation and management and form part of Australia’s National Reserve System. As well as protecting biodiversity, Indigenous Protected Areas deliver cultural, social, health and wellbeing and economic benefits to Indigenous communities including employment, education and training opportunities for Indigenous people in remote areas.

The Australian Government supports the Nipapanha Community Aboriginal Community (ICN9002) landowners through the Nantawarrina Indigenous Protected Area and Working on our Yarta in the Northern Flinders Ranges of SA (Rangers) Activities. Funding is provided to Nipapanha Community Inc to manage these activities including the protection, conservation and management of environmental and cultural values and threats, natural and cultural resource management, including Indigenous knowledge transfer, and protection of species.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $75,000 to $80,000 plus Super at 9.5%
