Karratha is one of the largest and fastest growing towns in the north of Western Australia and is the heart of the West Pilbara Coast. Its location makes it an ideal base for exploring the Millstream Chichester National Park, Karijini National Park, Murujuga National Park, Dampier Archipelago, Point Samson and the Montebello Islands.

 Under the limited direction of the Regional Manager, this position leads and coordinates the planned development and delivery of the department’s conservation services in the Pilbara region.

 The ideal person will have sound knowledge and experience in:

  • developing, implementing and reporting on regional nature conservation programs,
  • communicating and negotiating with a range of stakeholders, and
  • effective leadership and management of teams.

 In accordance with relevant legislation and departmental policy, the successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
