As a part of the recent growth in the Environment team, Council is seeking an experienced project manager with natural environment qualifications to assist with the implementation of its recently adopted Biodiversity Strategy.

This is an exciting new permanent role which will oversee a diverse range of projects such as the review of the shire’s Vegetation Protection Overlays, development of roadside and reserve management plans, Aboriginal heritage assessments, biolinks planning and implementation, preparation of biodiversity monitoring frameworks and various collaborative projects with various government and community stakeholders.

The position requires initiative, a positive attitude, a creative approach to problem solving and excellent written communication skills.

The successful candidate will have a passion for achieving long term, landscape scale change, substantial project management experience in a natural environment context, the ability to develop strong partnerships with stakeholders and a commitment to community consultation and collaboration.
