A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Natural Resource Management Officer to join the Parks Team within local government.

About the role

The Natural Resource Management Officer plays a lead role in developing and assists to implement fire and pest management plans and programs for both individual bushland parks under Council control and the bushland park estate as a whole.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the production of strategic and operational plans for pest and fire management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and to deliver on schedule.
  • Possess an excellent understanding of fire and pest management as they relate to natural area management and have demonstrated experience in working within either or both of these fields in an on-ground capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience with and ability to apply a range of computer based administrative and reporting tasks.
