Communications and Engagement Officer - Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board

The Communications and Engagement Officer is an all-rounder, playing a vital role in creating content and building the Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu brand. Your work will engage and inspire audiences across the region to connect with and care for land, water and nature.
As part of our communications team, you will:
- Create content, build the brand, and promote our work and programs through all communication channels, including publications, media, events, newsletters, website, and social media.
- Oversee our social media channels, create engaging content, manage website updates, and track performance through reporting and analytics.
- Work closely with our internal teams to plan and develop newsletters, media releases, corporate publications, documents and videos.
- Collaborate with external agency partners on design projects and communication campaigns, while also confidently creating content across platforms such as Canva.
About you:
- You have experience in a relevant field such as communications, journalism, or public relations.
- You bring clear and creative writing skills, with the ability to craft content for various audiences and channels.
- You are experienced in creating engaging social media, website, and newsletter content.
- You excel at building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You have the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
The details
- One full-time (37.5 hrs/per week) position or part-time (30 hours/week).
- Two year term position available immediately.
- Located in Mount Barker, South Australia.
Requirements:
- National Police Check.
- Current class 'C' driver's license and willingness to drive is essential.
- Australian residency or a current work permit.
Remuneration:
ASO4: $76,561 - $80,256 per annum (pro-rata if part-time).

Our goal is to support local communities and land managers in managing soils, water, pests, and biodiversity. Funded through local landscape and water levies, our work is reinvested into regional priority projects and programs, bolstered by additional Australian Government funding, to protect and enhance our productive and natural landscapes.
