On the whole, we manage landscapes specialising in local native flora from our four depots at North Melbourne, Werribee, Macedon, Geelong, Whittlesea and Mornington.

We have extensive bushland management knowledge, a sound and growing customer base (government, semi-government and private organisations) together with a growing team of over 100 people and a record of delivering quality service.

This role is for someone ready to take the next step in their Bushland Management Career! If this is you, we will support you to become a leader in the industry through significant training and development opportunities.

The vacancy is for a full time Project Leader with significant industry experience. The position will be based out of our North Melbourne depot.

The successful applicant will be expected to manage, plan and implement multiple land rehabilitation projects across the greater Melbourne Region.

Duties will include and are not limited to:

  • Leading crews on site.
  • Managing a small team of direct reports.
  • Client liaison and stakeholder engagement.
  • Preparation of quotes and invoices.
  • Scheduling of resources and staff.
  • Monitoring of budgets.

You will achieve an exceptional work standard both in the field and at an administrative level, with a strong emphasis on safety.

You will need the following qualifications, experience and skills as a minimum:

  • Excellent weed and indigenous plant ID skills in a variety of Victorian plant communities.
  • Commitment to excellence and best practice land management with:
    1. Proven knowledge of weed control techniques and herbicides.
    2. Proven knowledge of various revegetation techniques.
  • Proven ability to prioritise multiple projects and tasks with the demands of competing deadlines.
  • Minimum 3 years in CLM industry.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven autonomy and team management skills.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and fostering culture of learning with our team.
  • High level computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Moderate to high level of physical fitness.

Training and Licences:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent within the industry.
  • Essential - Current Victorian Car Licence.
  • Essential - ChemCert or equivalent.
  • Essential - Senior First Aid (Level 2).
  • Essential - Chainsaw - Operate and Maintain Chainsaws.
  • Essential - Construction Induction Card.
  • Desirable - Medium Rigid truck licence.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences.
