Your new role as a Senior Ecologist with Lathwida

Our new Senior Ecologist will have experience in South Australian field surveys, ecological assessments and reporting writing, with growing skills in project management and team coordination.

Primary responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of high-quality ecological aspects within the strategic bigger picture of Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Regulatory Approvals.

Our new ecologist will contribute to the delivery of terrestrial ecology projects; supporting team coordination and undertaking flora and fauna assessments, including desktop assessment; and delivery of quality technical reports.

GIS spatial skills are also highly regarded.

Your technical skills

  • A minimum of 5 years post-graduate ecology-based experience, preferably gained within a consultancy environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in ecology or equivalent
  • Strong, respectful and effective communication with our team and clients
  • Report writing skills
  • South Australian-based ecological knowledge and experience
  • Ecology survey experience, including the ability to support and coordinate ecology field teams
  • Able to operate independently, and as part of a collaborative team
  • Promotes a positive culture and safe working environment
  • Growing understanding of the bigger picture of how ecology influences environmental approvals strategies.
