As a Water Project Officer you will:

• Help lead water projects in partnership with land managers, stakeholders, and the community.
• Provide technical advice and support to councils, landholders, community, and industry groups on water planning and management.
• Assist in reviewing and amending Water Allocation Plans and Board policies.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders

About you

• You are knowledgeable and experienced with natural resource management planning principles.
• You have skills in developing policy and contributing to strategic planning processes.
• You have a proven track record managing and delivering projects.
• You are solution driven, with a history of collaborating with diverse individuals, organisations and groups on complex problems.
• You have the capability to understand, interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations.
• You enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment.
• You have experience or a tertiary qualification in natural resource management, environmental science, agricultural science or equivalent (desirable).

• One full-time (37.5 hrs/per week), ASO5 Water Project Officer position.
• 2 year term position available immediately.
• Located in Mount Barker, South Australia.

Requirements

• National Police Check
• Current class “C” driver’s license and willingness to drive is essential.
• Australian residency or a current work permit.

Remuneration:

Water Project Officer (ASO5):  $84,522 - $94,003 per annum.
